USD 445 currently has 382 students enrolled in the Title VII Indian Education Program (these students have a form on file in the Indian Education Office which is filled out and signed by a parent/guardian stating that their student is Native American--the student is not required to possess tribal certification). Of the 382 students enrolled in Title VII, 141 of them are also enrolled in the USD 445 JOM (Johnson O'Malley) Program. Students enrolled in the JOM Program have their tribal certification on file in the Indian Education Office, and the added benefit of receiving partial payment of their yearly academic fees. If your student has their own tribal certification, we encourage you to bring it with you to district enrollment and get your student signed up. Please contact Mrs. Crane for more information.
